Intercom & Video
Door Phone System Design
IP video intercom and video door phone system design for residential towers, commercial buildings, hospitals, campuses and gated communities — visitor management, access control integration and SIP/IP protocol design.
What We Offer
Intercom and video door phone systems are the primary visitor management and access communication technology for any secured building entrance. ASDV Consultant designs modern IP-based video intercom systems that provide two-way audio and video communication between visitors and occupants, with remote door release capability and integration with access control, CCTV and building management systems.
We design for all scales — from single-door video door phones for small offices to city-wide multi-tenant IP intercom systems for residential towers, gated communities and corporate campuses. Our designs specify the correct combination of door stations (outdoor panels), indoor monitors (touch-screen, desktop, mobile app), master stations, guards panels, SIP gateways and directory systems.
Modern IP/SIP-based intercom systems enable call forwarding to mobile phones (so residents can answer the door from anywhere), cloud-based visitor management, access credential delivery via mobile app, and video recording of all visitor interactions. We design these advanced features alongside the core intercommunication and door release functions.

Frequently Asked Questions
A video door phone is typically a standalone system — door station communicates directly with a wired indoor monitor over a dedicated cable. An IP intercom uses an IP network (LAN) and SIP protocol to connect door stations and indoor units, enabling calls to be forwarded to smartphones, integration with cloud visitor management platforms, remote access from anywhere and centralised management of large multi-entry deployments. IP intercoms are standard for all new commercial and residential projects.
Yes. Modern SIP-based IP intercom systems include a cloud gateway or SIP server that registers mobile phone intercom apps as extensions. When a visitor presses the door call button, the system simultaneously rings the indoor monitor and the resident's mobile phone. The resident can answer from anywhere in the world, have a two-way video conversation with the visitor, and remotely release the door lock — providing true remote visitor management.
IP-based intercom systems are highly scalable — from 1 to hundreds of entry points and thousands of indoor monitors or mobile app users. Enterprise SIP-based platforms (2N, Aiphone, Axis, BPT) support multi-site deployments with centralised management. The practical limit is network bandwidth, SIP server capacity and the number of concurrent calls required. Most commercial and residential projects require 2–10 entry points and 20–500 indoor units.
