ELV CAD Technician

As a CAD Technician at ASDV Consultant, you will produce the detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings that turn our ELV and ICT designs into tender and construction documents. Day to day you will draft device layouts, containment and conduit routing, riser diagrams, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules for systems such as fire alarm (FDAS), CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, and BMS. Precision, consistent layering, and adherence to our CAD standards and title-block conventions are at the heart of this role.

You will work from engineers' mark-ups and site survey data, incorporate consultant and client comments, and keep drawing registers up to date through multiple revision cycles. Experience with AutoCAD layout/paper-space, xrefs, and plotting to PDF is essential; exposure to Revit or BIM workflows is a plus and opens a route toward our BIM coordination team. It is an ideal role for a meticulous draftsperson who wants to specialise in low-voltage and building-technology drawings.

Drafts and optimizes general plan drawings

Revises drawings and completes standard calculations

Conducts field visits to locate grading markers and collect data

Attends team meetings to delineate design requirements

Participates in specialty design work as needed

Manages and organizes CAD files

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of CAD design and drafting experience

Proficient in AutoCAD

Knowledge of design and engineering principles

Highly detail-oriented

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Associate ITI or Polytechnic Diploma
